I was actually wondering something more specific to this place. I understand you've actually managed to procure a sword here, and I wanted to ask how - whether it was by means of playing the "game", or if you found another option.

[Is he resigned to probably having to fuck his way to arming himself? Yes. Will he jump on an alternate option, should one become available? Also yes.]

I got one for my birthday - but I don’t even want to talk about that one. You can’t rely on the house giving you a decent gift anyway.

The second is more reliable, but the guy’s a weirdo. The French guy that runs this shady bar that changes locations will gamble with you for things like weapons. If you beat him, you can probably get one. But you can’t trust him either. I wasn’t specific and he gave me a sword with performance anxiety, it goes soft when other people are watching.

But it’s my own fault. I should have specified that I wanted a normal sword, I guess? Damn tricksters. Obviously anyone asking for a sword wants a usable one!

Why are you looking for a sword? Are you planning on training? Or is there someone you want to kill?
